The fermentation processes in sewage treatment plants produce digester gas which is collected and compressed by gas compressors or gas blowers. The compressed digester gas is then carried back into the digested sludge to accelerate the fermentation process.

The compressed digester gas can also be stored and used for heating and power generation purposes.

For gas re-injection into the digested sludge or gas storage and fuel gas supply of gas engines, following gas compressors and gas blowers are available from Gardner Denver Wittig:
